The Beatles classic, Yesterday (written only by Paul McCartney) only has seven bars per verse and I've always wondered why. Help me figure this out, using music theory, if possible

Yes Indeed, Aimee - THANK YOU for helping make it an AMAZING week that started with a group of strangers full of questions, uncertainty, and dreams who ended as a large family who put on a STELLAR concert. The students totally accepted our challenges and exceeded our expectations (and theirs.) It was wonderful to see them become 1000% confident and proud of themselves. One group even changed their travel plans to stay in Nashville an extra day to record one of their new songs in a Nashville Studio.
Thank you, Aimee, for being a huge part of the the magic that made the camp special every day. Although we won't see you at Music/Nature Camp in July, I look forward to teaching along side you at Theory Camp in August.
"Jeff Silbar" was the special guest who wrote Wind Beneath my Wings. Hearing him perform his unique version was bone chilling, right? He said that he'd never played it that way before. "Tommy Sims", "Amy Grant", and "Jason Scheff", who was with us all week, made this camp one of the best and most memorable in our 26 year history.
...and there is lots more to come.
