Ether J. - "I've just finished this course on Nebula and I can't praise it enough. I'm not a jazz player, but am a musician who performs in other genres. I've made learning jazz one of my top goals, but haven't made much progress. Most teachers focus on scales, chords, arpeggios, etc. I am so tired of these!! In this course, Aimee takes a musical approach by focusing on motifs. This is brilliant! I have learned so much from these lessons that I just had to write about them. I now have an approach that I can understand to do my own solos. Thank you Aimee! You are the best!"

Changing keys in the middle of The Star Spangled Banner by accident = BAD. Knowing how to play melodies by ear and transpose them on the spot = GOOD, DESIRABLE, and all around SWEEEEET.
The wonderful, swinging, Rebecca Kilgore is in town and hanging out with me for a few hours before her concert! We will take your requests and answer any questions you might have for us!
Ever wish you could play piano while you sing? Maybe you wish you could play for your students or other vocalists, or instrumentalists. In this series, I teach you all of the important steps to start to be REALLY good at it! Walking bass lines, voicings, rhythms, styles...it's all right here.
I aim to please. Throw me your requests, and I'll do my best to play them all if I know them! Woohoo, here we go!
I'm so stoked to have my genius of a friend, freestyle rap artist, Ellevan here in my living room this evening, rapping your comments. If I can lay down a hip bebop lick here and there, I think we will have a fun fun livestream for you!
I'm so sorry that the audio cuts out. Here is the missing audio transcribed: * Alright now we're talking about diminished chords. You can draw two boxes, we'll have a minor 3rd on top, and a minor 3rd on the bottom. And we can come over here and just flat that 5th degree, g flat, and we've got a minor third there, and a minor 3rd there. * A very simple video to demonstrate how to find the notes of chords in root position (using the key of C as an example) and how to write them down, or notate them, and be able to recognize them in your reading of music.
